One way or the other I'm going to fix this. Impressive work Dave Could you whip the glass windows out and replace with these acrylic ones? A better thermal insulator than glass. There might be room to go thicker too.

Its possible Roger but the bezels don't encourage meddling. In the old days you'll remember that the bezels twisted off, having three tabs. But not now................ I've already applied some clear film which should help.........

I think Dave has a speed freak bug, he is lightening his car by drilling it out!

Is it possible the standard bulb should gradually warm up the gauge, drying it out. Then park it in a dry garage.
Didn't work for me.

Nor me. Moisture gets back in. That's why I tried LED as the gauges except the fuel don't get hot.

I have also fitted LEDs to all the instruments, and I've also installed a separate switch so that you can have the headlights on without the dash lights. It's not really been cold enough yet to see what the effect is. In theory, if the instruments can be kept at the same temperature as the cockpit they should stay mist free.

Very true. Having the lights on (so far) has made the instruments mist up far worse than without.
