Hello Folks,

I am asking for your help/knowledge to adjust the steering wheel. I have the problem when I am driving straight ahead that my steering wheel has a slightly right position. It is only a bit but I hate it. I think you know what I mean. I am looking for a possibility to adjust the steering wheel that it is exactly in the middle position when I am going straight ahead.

Any ideas or advise are really appreciated.
BTW: To turn the steering wheel on the hub will make no sence because that is to much.

Hi Torsten, I would suggest getting your front wheel alignment adjusted with the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.

Torsten, I would take the car to a tyre fitting shop and pay them to align the wheels.

Hi Torsten, aligning the wheels is of course the best solution.

But you can also adjust the steering yourself (depending on your skills). Once the counter nuts of the steering rod ball joints are open you can turn the steering rods for adjustment. Just make sure that both sides are done in sync to avoid that you mess up the alignement.

On my car a turn of 90° (1/4 turn of the rod) fixed the problem.

I have My steering wheel (+8) in a position where I have a clear view of the Speedometer. It is not straight up when driving straight. It does look a little odd I must admit.

You could adjust it but it may be a symptom of the wheels being out of alignment. It doesn't cost much to have a good tyre shop check the alignment and set the wheel straight and they have all the specialist equipment to do it right.

Why not adjust it to a diffrent spline position ?Remove wheel and slide back on....easy apart from the broken nose.
