The late, great pilot & entrepreneur Ray Hanna flying his Spit along the Goodwood pit straight on that first Revival event. Oddly enough, the CAA haven't allowed the since..!!

Yes I'd love to have been there HSE will ensure this sort of fun doesn't happen any more, one of my late fathers tricks was to fly in at zero feet (you don't hear them coming then) and scare the wotsit out of everyone, once a fighter pilot always a fighter pilot.

We were there on the day. Seeing the Spitfire fly past at eye level was unbelievable and it is such a lasting vivid memory.

I was there as well, totally agree with your comments. I was on the banking opposite the pits & it felt like I was looking down on the Spit.
I now have a large framed copy of that photo as a reminder of a memorable day (20th anniversary next year).
