Dear all,

I’m driving a Roadster MKII with 10’000 km and have the problem that probably the clutch between 4000-6000 revolutions per minute (rpm) “smells” burned and power seems to decrease. I do not see any indication of a “slipping clutch” below 4000 rpm.

Does anybody know this phenomenon or any experiences in the community with fitting of a “race-clutch”?

Thanks a lot and br,

René

if you smell it when driving HARD for a while,
than it is some "heat protection" near the exhaust,
also the expansionjoint between collector and exhaust might be melting, that will be vanished when you hear you have 3 exhaust-noizes, 2 at the back and one in the front

conclusion: you drive too hard!!!! smile smile smile but don't have to worry about it

(I have joints at home because I "burn" them rather quickly)
