My original Avon tyre has worn out after 30000km, any suggestion for replacement or is Avon best suited?

Hi
I am also looking for new types for my Roadster. I was in Italy and we had strong rain two days long and the Avon types have had no grip on the road. It was terrible to drive.

Guys

Whereas we always try to be helpful it really does depend upon a certain amount of information in the first place.

What size tyres are you looking for ? If your cars have alloy wheels then it is probably 205/60 x 15 , if wires then probably 215/55 x 16 , but unless we know it is somewhat difficult to advise.

Not trying to be negative but a little data would be useful.

Yes indeed, and is what I recently fitted to my Roadster. But not yet tested in the wet.

New tyre for a 2014 Roadster - sounds like a reasonable deal!

Ooops! Wire wheels, painted black, size 205/65 15R, roadster 3.7 brooklands edition, Matt silver bonnet, black pack!

Driving in heavy rain is always a challenge with Morgan partically with the front. I think my Avon have worked out well but maybe worn out a bit early. Interested to hear if anyone have experience from other vendors!

I have experiences concerning this tyre only with a 1973 911T. The Dunlop BluResponse. And with this car they work very well. If I had to replace the tyres on a Roadster I would give them a try. Not too expensive and the follow up of a former Porsche certificated Dunlop tyre. Available in 205/65/15.

The 911 certification means among others that the tyre has a durable side wall to cary the rear engine forces. No relation, just a happy customer.
