Great day on Saturday but a bit sorry to see the Ferrari get stuffed backwards into the tyre wall, great racing though. We met some very nice people, always lives up to expectation. I was more sorry to see the little Austin crash in the St Mary's Cup 2 You're clearly more a man of the people than I am then I could just see the £ notes floating away into the ether...

My thought was that if the owner can afford to race a vintage Ferrari then he or she can afford to fix it And good on them for racing it But the Austin was cuter

Far and away the best exhibit for me was seeing and hearing the Red Bull P38 Lightning in flight - a first for me it is a beautiful old warbird. Coverage of it and the other wonderful old warbirds here. https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/goodwoodrevival?source=feed_text&story_id=1682635128413480

Stewart; if you are ever down in East Devon, I can recommend calling into the garage at Tipton St John ( www.tiptongarage.co.uk) They prepare and race A35s A40s and Minis, amongst other things. Real enthusiasts. They did some tuning work once on Adrian's (AJSki2fly) original +8. The care they took was a pleasure to witness. There is also the benefit of an excellent pub, just yards away.

The late, great pilot & entrepreneur Ray Hanna flying his Spit along the Goodwood pit straight on that first Revival event. Oddly enough, the CAA haven't allowed the since..!! Wow..!
