So French rain is wetter than British. I need to reproof the hood... water came through all the seems plus a few drops straight through the fabric.

Thinking of nikwax type products. ... any recommendations?

Renovo's mohair roof potion certainly works on my mohair hood so I'm guessing their vinyl hood product will be equally as good

That's what I used on the first 4/4 and +4.
Have no idea whether the present "neverflex" roof leaks... But, it is a Morgan... grin2

In the old days we used to rub candle wax into the seams, seemed to work well. I'd visit a local camping shop and see what they suggest. I don't know if Renovo's ultra roofer works on seams?? No doubt someone on here will know!

I used Nikwax on Bumble and it seemed to work.

I use Renovo and no leakage in austrian rain, which is also very wet 😁

Best regards from Austria

I can only recommend Auto Glym's green Bumper & Trim Gel to make your Everflex hood look as new. I use it enthusiastically on my 20 year old 4/4.

A Auto Upholsterer told Me that My Everflex Hood was simply worn out. He pointed out a shiny area in the hood. "If I ran My sewing machine threw this shiny area it would shatter like glass". The Hood was built by HofE in 1999 so it is almost 20 years old. As I store the Hood in back on top of the gas (petrol) tank I thought the shiny spot was caused by fuel being spilled. +4-4STR
