I have an almost brand new stainless steel sports exhaust system for a Morgan 4/4 2002 from the bottom of the downpipe to the rear end in mint condition, I am open to offers

A few years ago when I visited Chas Windridge of Mogsport fame, he suggested that to get much better breathing I should remove the restrictor plate that's spot-welded about half way along the internal pipe of the main silencer. (This plate has an approx 1/2inch hole in it, so reducing the effective diameter of the exhaust pipe considerably).
The method he suggested sounded rather brutal - remove the silencer and then batter this restrictor plate with a long and hefty steel rod until it breaks free - but I tried it, and it worked! It made a big difference, too. The engine is much more willing to rev, and the exhaust note has a bit more of a burble. And all this for zero cost.

My 1982 4/4 cvh has a librands stainless exhaust which sounds good.
It's a bit tricky if you want to take a low profile though.

Mike Duncan H.O.E. Morgans sorted out one for me on my 86 cvh in s/steel and I put a s/steel better m/fold on has a great sound and burble but had to get a new bracket made for the rear to pull it away from the rear tyre .

Be careful about 200 cell cats. They may not function well enough to pass an MOT and are often too small to function effectively. I change my cat to a 300 cell cat of a very high quality and a larger diameter than the previous sports cat I had fitted.

As an aside; I have a Plus 4 SS manifold and the cat was the same as the Plus 4 SS. If anyone with a Plus 4 SS wants information PM me and I will provide all the details.
