SWMBO was not impressed with her first trip in the Roadster yesterday.
5 miles after we set off (to attend a wedding) a reducing
T piece at the rear of the engine failed, dumping the water
and sending lots of steam through the louvres.
We spent the next 3 hours waiting for the AA trying
to source a replacement T piece.
In the end they gave up, carried out a bodged repair of the
original and followed us home to change cars.
We did make it in time for the reception, but I'm not sure
I'll get her to try the mog again.
I've had a good search around tonight trying source
a replacement reducing T, or better still a metal
alternative, does anyone know who can supply them?

Look on eBay for the T connector. Also try Derbyshire Performance Hose who make quality silicone hoses (as against importing rubbish) and are a fantastic firm to deal with.

I think the T piece is called the heater expansion t piece from memory its 15 x 15mm with a 8mm take off

I purchased mine from stock at BHM, delivered next day

My last Roadster used to regularly wee all over the garage floor after a run until Williams fixed it - twice! I think that was a T connector at the top front of the engine from memory. Touch wood the new V6 doesn't seem to leak. We are off out this afternoon so I have jinxed that for sure.

Thanks all, I've ordered some silicone hoses and a couple of
15-8-15 reducing T's from AutoSiliconeHoses.com to get me running.
I found the original NORMA PLAST TRS 15-8-15 reducing T's but
I had a look at the spec sheet for NORMA T's and see they're
only rated to 80 degrees for continuous operation.
That is a bit scary to me, considering it could have wrecked the
engine.

Simon, the two fittings that I'm looking to replace are the
plastic 16mm T in front of coolant header and the plastic
15-8-15 reducing T next to it, I also think this should be
a 16-8-16 to avoid over tightening.

That is a worry. I don't know about the Roadster but the Duratec Plus 4 runs at 90° to 95°C.

I have been thinking of fitting silicon hoses too.
