After 40 years in Hong Kong have returned to UK and have just, 2 hours ago, taken delivery of my first Morgan - a 2003, 35th Anniversary model plus 8. No issues on our first outing, so no questions for the forum yet, but I expect to be bombarding you guys with dumb questions and seeking advice as the anticipated issues arise!

Firstly, welcome to TM, a number of us are in Devon; whereabouts are you based? Also, a 35 Anniversary +8 = very nice.

Welcome to TM enjoy your time here - as Bud says there are quite a few owners in Devon but we don't all belong to clubs but quite often meet up with other TM'ers. Enjoy your adventures in your Plus 8 there is nothing quite like that sound . No such thing as a dumb question this is a great knowledge sharing home on just about everything, some of which needs to be taken with a wry smile or seasoning.

Kenneth
There is truly a wealth of knowledge here about almost anything to do with Morgans ( and lots that isn't , just for amusement and distraction) .
Your 35th Anniversary +8 will have the GEMS ignition and fuelling control system , which is somewhat more complex, but there is a lot of data available about this. The late cars 2003 onwards were really well sorted, most of the problems had been dealt with (not always successfully!) and `I am sure you will enjoy it.
The basic secret is to use it frequently, drive open over Dartmoor , or the lanes around Sidmouth and Bigbury, get it out often and put some miles on the car and smiles on your face. No Morgan should be a trailer queen.

Welcome to TM and +8 ownership. I have had a 2002 +8 from new and put 60k miles on the clock with very few problems.

Welcome from Wales. I have a 2002 Plus8 and no issues. Good choice of car you have made. "Check engine " light has come on a couple of times but reset with a Maxiscan. Random intermittent misfire was the fault code. Undetectable whilst driving. Engine was running nicely. I have been using Shell VPower petrol and the light stays off. Itame on earlier this year when normal 95 octane was used on a weekender. VPower won't break the bank for my 7k+ annual mileage. My advice.....use the car! Regular oil changes and lubricate the suspension often ( front and back).
Post some photos here too!
