We are touring in the caravan along the Mousel for a month and see our 1st Morgan yesterday while cycling, there was a few other classic cars as well with it. We did give a good wave to them and got a wave back.

Apparently Germany is the second biggest market for Morgan after the UK. Same stands for convertibles of all sorts as well. The countries with more incremental weather like topless driving the most ;-)

I think it's because when the sun makes it's brief annual appearance, we need to experience it's warming rays as fast and as much as possible. smile

It's partly that, but also that convertible are most agreeable in temperate climates. When it's very hot it's positively uncomfortable and disagreeable to drive roof down. The stereotypical English summer's day represents the ideal for topless motoring.

I've also thought that the high level of convertible sales in the UK demonstrates the innate optimism of the British people. I'm delighted to hear that our German friends share this trait smile

It was the MCD (Morgan Club Deutschland) Herbstreffen (Autumn Meeting) in Eibsee last weekend - 200 or so Morgans. Great meeting, perfect weather, fabulous scenery.
