Drove down to PeterJ’s today some 154 miles from Eton and back, as he was kind enough to have developed a solution to the pedal problem in the Plus 8 for drivers with a size 9 shoe or smaller. Thanks Peter, it’s a great improvement. thumbs drive

Last week in Spain and France and back on Monday, we did some 1054 miles in total, will add some photos shortly...

I hadn't seen your new exhausts 'in the metal' before and I have to say, they look great thumbs

What diameter are those tailpipes; they look much bigger than the Librands?

I seem to remember that you removed the silencers under the running boards and went for straight through pipes to the rear...?

How are you finding the system?

James, my car has an infinity system fitted that removes the rear silencers and has similar tail pipes. It is not too loud, but usefully more so than stock. I would not want the whole lot stripping out, the noise would I fear be fine for 10 minuets but grate a bit on trips longer.

James:
Sounds like you are getting the itch to further upgrade your (superb) Aero?
Trust you have obtained the necessary sign-off?
wink. innocent

Hi James, I will check the measurement tomorrow ... in the end they replaced the 'boxes' under the running boards just after the cats and then straight through. I love the noise, really been a great improvement from the original. Ian

Ian, I've been wondering if this would give my Aero Plus 8 the sound track it deserves.

We used to think Tarka sounded good, but the AMG C43 sounds, in Sport Exhaust Mode, actually better. Now, I know AMG probably spend as much developing the sound of the exhaust as MMC spent on the Plus 8, and what we have is good. But I do think about what it could be.
