My new 2017 has some sort of a sticky coating on the front suspension. Sand, dirt and bugs really stick to it? Why is it coated with this and how do I remove?

It's a wax protective coating if it is honey coloured and best left intact if it's like my 2009 4/4 Sport was.

If you need to remove it an electric heat gun on low should do the trick.

You can remove it with diluent and a brush.I would only remove it when you have the opportunity to clean and check (the bottom) the car regularly on an car lift. It is protection.

As it is a 3 wheeler, the front suspension is very visible and already powder coated. I guess that the sticky coating is a Waxoyl type protective that could be removed with a rag and some WD40 or similar. That will leave a little bit of protective in place in the corners where corrosion usually starts but not enough to cause dirt etc. to stick to it. It was probably put there for transit protection, to be removed as part of the PDI.

I would clean it off with a degreaser and replace with ACF50 which does not attract bugs and dirt.

In fact bath the whole car in ACF50 it is your anti corrosion friend.

Another tip is to polish the underside of the floor pan with a good quality car polish which will protect it and stop the crap sticking to it as well.

I used ACF50 all over the front suspension of my M3W during winter months. That is now until March /April.

Just a light coating.

Its expensive - but worth it!!

Lear Chemicals also do a waterproof anti-corrosion grease called "Corrosion Block", which is great for heavier duty winter protection on all those exposed nuts and joints (on the car). I use it on my bike, applied with a small brush.
