I bought a Morgan a few months ago and have just torn a second pair of trousers while getting in and out of it. I’m not particularly fat, although I’m 5’11” and 90 Kgs.
People are bigger now than they were in the 1930s or 1940s.
Wouldn’t an extra cm or two in the car’s dimensions make it easier to own and live with a Morgan?

In addition Morgan owners are older and less flexible than they once were.

Increasing the size would also bring Morgans closer to modern cars in size.

Comments please.

Lederhosen! Jawohl Mein Herr.

Seriously two back pockets torn and I’m told my backside isn’t disproportionately large. I catch the pocket in the door lock mechanism on the body tub. Also I’m 64 and getting less flexible every day.

What steering wheel do you have on the Mog ?

An offset wheel might help to give you a bit more space

Also the Librand door stays will keep the door open wide while you egress

Then I would recommend stronger trousers ooo

Is it a short or long door car you have ?
There is quite a difference I am of similar proportions to you and have never torn trousers though and I'm 66 but reasonably flexible and that's over 13 years of Morgan's.

As long as it’s only the handbrake that flies off

On the subject of trousers and handbrakes; at the start of the infamous 1955 Le Mans, Juan Manuel Fangio was delayed at the start, having jumped into the car, he proceeded to get the leg of his trousers stuck over the handbrake!
