Mr Bumble is well represented Terry. Not sure he will make the cover yet, but is my current favourite image for the cover.
Breaking News: I met the publisher yesterday at Aldbourne (Near Swindon). What a lovely village.
Anyway, the book is now moving into phase two "Production". Still a long way to go. Typically eight months from now. This means the end of February 2018, although I will see a proof around Christmas time, and possibly before.
The next job is the final proof editing, and typesetting, which is now electronic.
The cover isn't yet decided, but most of the rest is now agreed.

Update 5th October 2017 I've received the first proof book layout today on a PDF, for final proof reading over the weekend. Another deadline to meet! 192 pages and obviously I'm biased, but on a first scan it does look good!

You must be feeling pretty pleased! Indeed I do, but the proofing stage is going to take time to get right. Hopefully I can get rid of any 'gaffes' before we go any further, and I can now sort the index because I have page numbers!!!
