My restoration project 'Esmeralda' is nearing completion and has just passed her MOT. I have applied for it to be UK registered and I have arranged for a local trimmer to do the upholstery in black leather.

My wife insists that I fit seat bealts (makes sense I suppose) but I am not sure which ones would be best for a 1961 car. I am currently thinking that static lap and diagonals will be favourite even though they are untidy and get in the way when parking one's backside.

I would appreciate any advice that may be forthcoming.

Does anyone know what pattern/make seat belt is fitted on a 2000 reg 4/4; four seater? My wife is currently slowly garrotted by hers, as the extension mechanism locks up in transit.

Try FDTS in west byfleet, she does belts for many people including MMC i think. Did an absolutly superb job for my plus 4 when i had same problem as you, also has plenty of options on belt colour
