Mine marked its spot over the winter, to me from the oil stain pattern (I will post pictures later) it looks like the adapter that screws onto the lower engine block that attaches the oil filter is to blame, looking at the exploded view of the engine there supposed to be O-rings in there! I can't imagine why they are leaking

That is what is suspect is the problem with mine, as I can see the oil seeping out the mounting bolt of the housing that holds the oil filter to the engine block. I have new O-rings, and will be installing them, with a report to follow.

Excellent! It looks like you have to pull the drivers side motor mount then it should be simple. probably best to do it when changing the oil. Did you go to an s&s dealer to get the parts or did you just get the right size o rings from an auto parts store?

Hey, Kirk: I called the service manager at my dealer in Scottsdale, AZ. He is very knowledgeable, and most willing to help. I entertained the idea of sending the machine to him, as there is also a problem with the brake light switch leaking, and it is still under warranty. However, the cost of sending the car to him is considerable, so I will do my own work. The O-rings and new brake light switch were sent to me by the dealer.

Cool.... Let us know how it goes. I can't start on mine right away, but if I get to it before you, I'll post.

there is also a problem with the brake light switch leaking, I had the brake light switch fail that the dealer noticed so they replaced it. A few days later the low fluid warning came on & I found the replaced switch was leaking round the threads. I bought a spanner (22mm?) & tightened it as much as I dared but had to return to the dealer & they fitted another new one.

Thread sealer? Can’t you use Teflon tape?
They replaced it as it was defective?

If its an inverted flare fitting, you don't need anything, just a good flare and sometimes you need to tighten, back of, retighten, back off and tighten again to get a good seat. If not you can use teflon tape i guess
