I remain confused, now we have another figure (107) for the number of Aeromaxs built.
So Morgan *said* they'd build 100 & as Shooter suggests, by the time they've built prototypes, crash tested a car or two, and replaced a few less-deliberately crashed cars, you have 107 So where did 117 come from? Maybe the journo asked Charles Morgan, who in his passion for the product is *always* accurate, and *never* exaggerates.    Will

Having read the article today I must say I found it more eugolistic than factual.
Frankly I was disappointed. It lacks continuity ...fact...and authority.
AND I had to buy a so called Bumper issue for more £££ which turned out to be a Ferrari love in issue. Howard you can have my copy FOC!

'My Publisher' insisted on production data for the Trads.
MMC don't have it in an easily recoverable format. You would have to trawl through the build books.
It could be done but it would take a big investment of time.
Anything on the Internet is a guess, and so journalists are in trouble.
I've made an attempt at trad numbers but with a caveat-fest and lots of rounding and assumptions. That's as good as it can be without hours of research at the factory.
End the number with an odd number (say XXX3) - always makes it seem more scientific. Everest was recorded that way (after the first measurement came out at a round number they added a few feet on to make it look like they'd measured it).

That's good to hear, they did a feature on the Reliant Scimitar a while back I seem to recall the facts were all over the place and mostly wrong. I ran one as daily transport for three years in Germany and was very keen on them so learnt a lot about them, particularly earthing and Diff front oil seals !  Mine was Wessex green with 3 Gold pinstripes down the flans, it's the only car I regret selling when the first of a chain of company cars arrived.

In the time I worked there as a tour guide I never was able to pin down numbers......each person I spoke to came up with differing figures! I find it quite amazing that a company with a full time archivist cannot arrive at accurate figures for at least the modern Morgans.

You could run a simple excel spread sheet to issue the chassis numbers and that would give any analysis you want in seconds. Are we in 2017 or what?
