Yup. Try it/them out first. You can always go for a single, big hole later.
Let us know how it works out.

Are you removing just a single baffle (first or last) or removing multiple/all baffles per silencer?

When I had my Harley I took it back to complain how gutless it was, I was told all would be well after they "tuned" the mufflers at the first service. They were right, it was louder and had way more power. They just took a large steel bar longer than the silencer and smashed it out to straight through. Not much science. Apparently to get these big twins past noise laws they have to strangle them with over the top silencers. πŸ˜‚

I took a hole saw to the last (most rearward) baffle, because it was the only one I could reach with only one extension, and that gave a change in sound, but not necessarily performance. The four holes I drilled in the first/front baffle did improve on performance and sound. Almost no pinking and the headers have never glowed red since. Well worth doing. I am still a bit nervous about drilling it out, completely, as it might be too loud.
I might drill four more in the front to see what happens.
I wouldn't bother with the rear baffle, if I were to do it all over again.

I took all the baffles out of mine and have been noise tested at 105.4db @ 4250rpm.

I removed all the baffles, front, middle and rear. I then added the G56 air cleaner and I like the result. A much crisper running machine. In retrospect, the only one you should really remove is the foreword most baffle. It is a solid disc and is the most restrictive of the three.
