More than just the nose. It appears to have side-swiped the guardrail and then done spin doing substantial damage to the rear end too. Given the construction of the car I imagine a write off would be on the cards.
I love the the Sussex Police understatement: "Police believe it was travelling from Worthing to Chichester with several other sports cars ". Just replace the word "travelling" with the word "racing" to get what they really think, and hope that someone will come forward and tell them.

More chance of this happening if they were in a group outing.

As I said in the other thread, the car was part of businessman Peter Saywell's collection being delivered to Goodwood for a charity event in aid of terminally ill children.
The Pagani is Peter Saywell's personal car. The driver, Scott, has said he was being particularly careful (as you would in your boss's £1.5M car).
Weather conditions on Saturday were atrocious. Local reports say the car had just gone around the Tangmere roundabout when it hit something in the road. It's a notoriously bad spot which has seen many similar incidents, but your average car doesn't make the BBC website!

I'm sure members of TM would never jump to any unjustified & stereotypical conclusion, Ian...much... I'm with you there SBM. I must confess to being a little taken aback by the assumptions being made in some of the posts about this accident. Had it been a chap in a Morgan everyone would be full of sympathy and understanding. I'm glad that the driver got out of it OK. Peter Saywell has a great reputation for providing his wonderful cars for charitable fundraising events. It's a real shame that one of them got badly damaged en route to such an event. Let's hope that the fuss surrounding this incident doesn't put him off helping charities in this way in future.
