Thank you for your appreciation, that does me good !

Mark told me that the car's parked in the shade and it was difficult taking photos with his Iphone. Shame those flashlight photos just don't do the colour combination justice.

Most buyers fancy the look of the Sport models - somehow I wanted to come up with something more "traditional" in appearance with bumpers and the wooden dashboard.

With a rather provoking interior colour like the Burnt Orange, I simply wanted to stick with a two colour scheme. As my dealer didn't even had samples other than those tiny leather strips, the question in doubt is whether exterior colour, carpets, hood and the piping in "Loom" match.
And if not? Then it just adds a bucket full of character...

I usually do 2.000 kilometer per month. Let's see how quickly the Morgan clocks up the miles!

Bet you're like a 'cat on a hot tin roof' - I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything else either thumbs

Waiting for something special is never easy but does make you feel young again: at least it makes me feel 8 years old on Christmas Eve wink

It will be worth it.

I booked a flight on the 5th of August. Unfortunately the factory's closed this week - so I've got to wait another week. I'll take it home on Swiss plates, temporarily issued and valid for five days. This will give me some time for a nice trip around southern England.

Some friends of course volunteered to join in - I turned their offer down and decided to enjoy this adventure all alone. No silly questions, not complaints, no stops every 20 miles for a pee break - simple driving pleasure. Great expectations !
cheers

Unfortunately I'll have to hand it in at my Morgan dealer in Geneva. He'll get it PDI'd and organize the customs clearance - I've no idea how long this is going to take and that's daunting. At the moment Morgan ownership it somewhat abstract to me, but what then...

Hello Marian,
great looking car!
Looking forward to meet you someplace in Switzerland.
Sunday 29.August is the "British Car Meeting" in Mollis. There will be a bunch of Morganeers around. :-)
Maybe you would like to join?

Marian,

If you need some suggestions of places to visit in your new Morgan, just let us know and we will be happy to help. Are you using the Eurotunnel/Dover Ferries to travel back to the continent? If so, you will need to go past Brooklands Museum , which is a nice place to stop and have a look around - considered to be the birthplace of British motorsport.
