how about this review I read through a link on the Morgan site: https://drivetribe.com/p/5-things-i-lear..._source=organicMy car is still quite new, with only 2000 km's driven, but the remarks regarding the engine and willingness to rev sound familiar with my experience so far. (The special feeling he describes as well )

You may "resemble" that remark whilst i rather (only slightly) resent it! After all the mx5 was a great test bed for what is probably the best gearbox ever to be used in a Morgan....
The MX5 is a great value little sports car that drives far better than many would imagine. Its not all about power sometimes - true sports car drivers ( like most of TM i suspect) understand that! Handling/balance/poise etc don't need lots of power to be enjoyed.

Nice link, thanks. He sounds like he'd have been happier in a 4/4 as that revs more happily and sounds greater the more you rev it

I was actually using resemble as a euphemism for resent! I get the same fun from my MX5 as I do from the +8, it's just the public who smile more for the +8.

I do think the MX5 is a great little car - but thats its issue - it is tiny inside!!
Ok for me - but anyone with any height or size would struggle.

Guys, stop it - you're making me really want an MX5 as there will shortly be an extra space in my garage.
So, can any serial MX5 owner comment on whether the current (ie 2015/16 onwards) model is significantly better than the model it replaced. Styling wise, I like the look of both models - and I wouldn't want an older one, lovely though they are, as I'm not handy with the spanners and have too much high-maintenance metal already.
