Well after an agonising few weeks to get on he forum I'm delighted to say hello to everyone on the forum.
We recently bought our 2005 4/4 with the 1.8 Duratec engine in Indigo Blue from a Brightwells auction. Bought in a bit of a hurry, but the spec just seemed so right for what we liked. Not bought from auction before and couldn't attend on the day so girlfriend did the phone bidding.
We live in Somerset so some nice roads to have a few run outs. So far car seems trouble free. Just a few small bits to ftinker with and a bit of cleaning to do before next spring. Hoping to join in with some club meets
Looking forward to learning lots more about the car

The dealers also buy cars unseen , but they probably have a caveat that if not as described then they adjust the agreed sum.
Not my way of doing things I agree , but it can certainly work out and save money.
I would advise getting in touch with SpotMog , the local owners group and picking their brains about the little issues that crop up from time to time.

Hello and welcome the fun starts from now . You two are going to love it even the bits of skin that comes off your hands as you tinker with the engine .  nicknamed mine the mistress as it gets more attention .

Just looked at the auction catalogue it was describe really well and pictures were great.
It went for a great price .
You will never lose money on the Morgan .
