Mine came off first time I cleaned the screen. Put them in a box somewhere and forgot about them. I think the blades look nicer without the end bits. No scratcing yet (two years only) Cheers, JJW

Thanks, I'll give John W a ring. Funnily enough I have not lost one in the time I have had the car (goodness me, nearly 3 years now) until last weekend. My concern is that a long drive in the wet might generate enough flex in the blades to let the metal edge contact the glass, and cause scratching. Has anyone had this happen or should I not worry?
Nigel I never had that problem and actuall my old caps don't fit the new blades I got from Allon White the other day. The thing that scratched my screen was actually the centre of the original blade but that stopped after I changed them, and soon the windscreen change will get rid of the scratches!

John do you know where I can get replacement wiper blades for my plus 4 T16 and the rubber end caps?
How on earth are they set up to not flick over the chrome windscreen surround?

hmm. in my opinion these caps fall into the same category as nipple caps,in that they serve no useful purpose and everything looks much better without them

Heart of England stocked the end caps. Give them a try.

I moulded some out of 'Sugru'; it's like a soft, malleable silicone which sets firm after a few hours. Sugru It also sticks to most things (a bit like glue);not cheap but very useful for a number of 'odd' repairs around the car/house.It comes in small, foil packs and has a 'shelf-life';I keep mine in the 'fridge to extend the storage time. The young lady who invented and markets it came up with the idea whilst at University .It's nice to see a start up company doing well..... James

James I didn't know that about the origin of the product James, that's really interesting. I'm a big fan of Sugru, I've used it for all sorts of things, including making anti-rattle pads for my bonnets.
