I have noticed a dropping back in the humour posts. Friday became Monday but it has slowed. I posted some silly stuff there to keep it moving but it is slow. Perhaps we're running out of jokes The last couple of years have been a bit stressful. World economical and political events have started to put a strain on us all. A bit of humour certainly helps to ease the strain.

I like it here. I think that the odd post where someone goes perhaps a little bit further than they pooitely should is fine because it quickly blows over and that enhances the (extended) family feel of the forum. Like family we all contribute very different views without falling out permanently. And at the core there is still the instant response to any technical queries and multiple offers of help to anyone stuck. I think we should be reasonably proud of how we self police our forum (not to leave out a big thank you to the moderators). Nick

Err! Isn't this a pub! A pint and a bit of lively discussion seems appropriate to me. Peter , the difference between pessimism and optimism I remember going into a pub as a young lad and all the old farts moaning how fast their pint was going up! When my mates only thought how quick it was going down ! So must be the latter. drinker now I don't have any problem at all with differing views but as long as it doesn't turn into a slanging match, the online equivalent equivalent of fisticuffs, i'm fine. Personal insults are certainly to be avoided. My posting rate is slowing down and I am fairly picky at what I read but I haven't seen any serious problems. I hope I am not one of the problems

Yes sorry can’t spell, Dunblane (uperty class town, uperty past Stirling) A decent satnav will cope with spelling errors, mine doesn’t though, it’s absolute rubbish. I got it second hand off Bonnie Tyler, it just keeps telling me to turn around and every now and then, it falls apart!
