One of my favourites. Right up there with Tom Jones' version of "Socks bomb"

There is an off button, if you don't like it, turn it off
Which is just what I did.

Ironically, I was on the receiving end of, what I felt was, an unjustified and unprovoked personal attack from the originator of this thread, so I took my own advice and turned it off. At the time it really pi$$ed me off, but in hind site it was a blessing!

There are many '+1' posters on these forums who seem to feel that their status increases with the number of posts they can make, you only have to look at the numbers of posts in relation to how long they've been on a board. Get a life!! Forums almost become an addiction to some.

As a long time Morgan owner, many new ones, I felt I could comment with some knowledge on the cars, good or bad.
I came to realise I was fed up of poor build quality, poor quality materials and poor value for money, so, once again I followed my own advice again and sold the car I had. One of my better decisions. Another Morgan?…. I very much doubt it!!!!

Forums evolve over time as new people join, that's the way they operate. If you don't like it, refer to my first point!!

Why am I here?? I'm just passing through, selling a few bits I had left in the garage.

A very illuminating and interesting post and thanks for your honesty.
I'm really glad you have enjoyed a few Morgan's over the years, I guess there comes a time for all of us sooner or later to part company with the breed.
Enjoy your next/present wheels.

I thought she was looking for an Aero hide.

I'm not sure what you mean by that exactly but if you are refering to the couple of threads that have a fair number of photos of attractive women I think you have touched on a very tricky and sometimes difficult topic.

Without wanting to get into deep discussion on this I think it is in the nature of men to admire beautiful women and it is in the nature of women to like being admired by men. If this were not the case the human race would now be the at the bottom of an archaeological dig and being studied by whatever comes after us. The fact is that none of the girls (or cars) in those photos objected to having their photo taken.

I don't make any excuses for my political incorrectness in admiring a beautiful girl (or car) and I am sure I will continue to do so even when I can no longer remember why wink

Blimey! I’ve been away for a couple of days and have come back to this thread. In all honesty I love this place!. I do enjoy differing views on how the world works and yes there are a couple of contributors who express their own viewpoints in a negative manner that in my humble opinion is out of keeping of the spirit of this forum. However, most of the chat and banter is warm and genuine. Yes, “girls and cars” is a bit of a cringeworthy throwback but I simply don’t go there. And the shortage of women members is noticeable.

I know some have criticised Facebook but I recently joined a cycling Facebook group called “cycling over fifty” which has a similar feel to here but has about a 40% female constituency many riding bikes in their 70’s. Makes it an interesting place.

Finally, Steve, I love your contributions and know how passionate you are about TM. Don’t let the negative people get you down.

It also shows the cultural and regional differences.

As Peter outlines in Italy it is normally accepted that a man appreciates a woman who has made an effort to accentuate her style and the woman generally enjoys this. It is accepted in society and not considered aggressive. However a different religious group might say "she is asking for it dressing like that". I agree the tone has changed slightly and over time.

It also why you can choose to add NSFW to the heading if you want to start a thread which might become a little rough.. Not suitable for work (reading). A friend of mine corrected me and said the W meant for "wooses" sorry if I spelt that incorrectly. He was from whippetland, oh there I go again with a racial stereotype, thats me banned. Again.

The readers mood and perspective is everything. On re-reading the outlined thread I would agree it became a bit caustic.

and so to dinner (nice bit of cod)

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
