Having the 3 wheeler has created a desire for something old.

I got sent this by my son yesterday as he knows it an itch I need to scratch.

Bonhams

So a couple of questions.

1/Does anyone in the TM massive have experience of owning and using something this old?

2/ How difficult would it be to register for UK road use?

Cheers

John

It is a Hudson...

there is a Hudson Car Club...https://www.hudsonclub.org/
First point of call, I think!

I suspect it would be a demanding mistress, making looking after a classic Mog look easy....

Registering a classic car never previously imported into the UK is possible, provenance is everything.
The Bonham's description suggests it is a "bitsa" ..there is a risk you'd end up with a "Q" Plate if the provenance could not be proven.... exting

- which might possibly be an issue as I think it may mean that it would have to be subjected to a modern SVA test.

We have a TM member that runs a Hudson he lives in N Wales if not on Anglesey itself and is an artist, he has a Connaught Plus8 also, can't recall his name right now. So someone must know how to fettle them over here. John maybe is his name ?

That open wheeler is a cracker.

His name is Keith Andrew and definitely lives on Anglesey but I don't recall his handle on here but he runs a beautiful Terraplane.

His handle is art

I've some experience of a US import with my 240z. So not to put off by that.

The worry here is what will something like this need to get it road ready? Peter is right with this bitsa being a little difficult to register unless it's been on the road in the states.

Time to do some research need to fill the space in the garage innocent

My God that's lovely. I recall there was a TM member with a Terraplane (possibly more than one?). It's a small world - maybe they will see this thread and share anything they know about the background to this particular example...
