I accept that...

There was a thread for long enough that was IMO a sort of soft porn - doesnt seem to be there any longer. I thought it all a bit sad really given the age of many posters on here, myself included. I am pleased it has gone.

Guilty as charged Julian. The time I waste on forums, mostly sailing ones, is ridiculous . Boredom I guess.

I'm not sure what you mean by that exactly but if you are refering to the couple of threads that have a fair number of photos of attractive women I think you have touched on a very tricky and sometimes difficult topic.

Without wanting to get into deep discussion on this I think it is in the nature of men to admire beautiful women and it is in the nature of women to like being admired by men. If this were not the case the human race would now be the at the bottom of an archaeological dig and being studied by whatever comes after us. The fact is that none of the girls (or cars) in those photos objected to having their photo taken.

I don't make any excuses for my political incorrectness in admiring a beautiful girl (or car) and I am sure I will continue to do so even when I can no longer remember why wink

Soft porn! Damn I must have missed that doh

Or perhaps my definition of soft porn is a little harder than some. In any case if one finds something a little out of bounds the simple solution is not to look at it. Perhaps unfortunately, as you say, most of us are too old to be looking at attractive women (or cars) however the fact is that those threads get a lot views. If you are refering to the "something for Jays" thread it has had 1,454,560 views, nearly a million and a half. I think that says something.

Provided we self police ourselves so that it doesn't get out of hand I see it as a bit of harmless fun.

Thats brilliant. A simple paperclip.
I would love to know more about engineering things like this if there was time. The innovation talked about in software today is interesting but many of these mechanical tools are so interesting. Who dreamt that one up!

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
