Managed at the weekend to get to the Classic Restoration Show at Bath & West showground in the Mog. Nice to meet a fellow TM member but already forgotten names, but nice '62 Le Mans.

Also saw a nice green Morgan, unusually had no bonnet vents. Something I keep noticing as mine has only got a few vents like the Runabout model.

Show itself was pretty good and for a fiver entry you can't go wrong. Will head to NEC on Friday but not sure if to take the Mog or something else

Welcome to Talk Morgan. I'm just south of you near Exeter and also have a reduced louvre bonnet. (This has caused mirth from some of my TM chums).
Friendly bunch down here in these parts, so as Paul and Deano have said, don't be afraid to contact us should you have any queries.
cheers

Thanks again, would look forward to meeting and comparing louvres ;-)

I'm happy being under endowed in terms of louvres. Advantage in not letting water in but also less fiddly bits when washing.

One of the reasons we bought the car was that all the options that we would have chosen were in the car that we bought within a reasonable budget. However I'm well aware that there was probably loads of little options that I knew nothing about. If I'd bought brand new I'd have spent months and lots of spreadsheet effort on deciding what to have.

The only option that, with hindsight only, I would have liked was reclining seats. Mainly to make getting at the rear storage easier with the hood up. But I think I can live with that!

James the reclining seats make little useful difference. They only swing forwards a few degrees from the up right. I don’t struggle to put things over the seats, I just pop the easy up hood and lift the rear (with the front still attached) to get stuff behind the seats.

Welcome to you both! Enjoy - we are based near Exeter so not far from you. We are new Morgan owners too and are finding that the Morgan community is very friendly and helpful!

Hello to more Southwest and honorary Tasmania SW owners.

Because of the weather the Morgan has been tucked up in the new garage. I have gone mad though and bought it a MOG number plate for too much money. But at least it matches some of the other cars now.

MOG 70Y - Morgan
CAT 70Y - Merc SLK
DOG 70Y - Merc Estate

I know we are a bit sad !
