Yet again the PCB on my 2006 Roadster is failing. Mr Morgan has no more in stock as the supplier is bankrupt.

Graham & I have been trying to understand the PCB to see if we (i.e. Graham) can repair it.

Does anyone out there have the circuit diagram for the PCB, mine has the 2 speed fan.

I don't suppose it's the same PCB as a Duratec Plus 4 is it?

Nick what year is your car?
Mine is the second module generation MDE 4002 with 2-speed heater fan. Previous version was the MDE 4000 (single fan speed) and later model is the MDE 4003 (models 2007 on).

John,

Ooh, don't know - it's a 2012 Plus 4. The PCB ref number on the screen printing is Zonefollow 2010 ZF036912 if that helps.

What are the symptoms you are suffering?

I don't have a circuit diagram but was wondering if by some coincidence it was a similar issue to mine.

Cheers
Nick

Can someone explain exactly what this module does? I know that the switches etc run off it but could you do away with a module and wire direct or is it that things talk to the ECU etc? Or perhaps the engine immobiliser is part of it?

I dream of a car that just feeds inputs to an ECU!

No idea Nick.
Jays it is over complexity so for example the indicators go through the board. With side lights off they don't work. Put on the side lights they work.

I would love a basic analogue solution to the issue.

Nope, I can't tell you definitively. It has multiple functions and not all related. When my kitchen is done I'm going to try and trace out the wiring but the tracks under components will not make it easy. It certainly has relays for the heater fan and I suspect the rear fog light and the heated front screen. There is a portion for aircon. It drives the warning lights. And extends the immobiliser light to the dash.

Many functions can be bypassed. All? Dunno.

Sorry John, totally different.

Oh, I forgot Jay, there's also the hazard switch but the hazard relay is on the bulkhean on mine I believe.

If I remember correctly Peter (Gambalunga) had this rather sad bit of electronics replaced by Borghi for a proper hardwired job.

Had I have kept my 2009 Sport I would definitely have gone down this route, the 2 Speed fan switch exploded on mine but fortunately in the warranty period

I checked with Peter he changed the MFU (multi functional unit) not the PCB.
