Yes. Arrived in the post today. I can see the point of them doing it. Factory visit whilst your car is serviced - not the worst idea ever! I’ll be staying local.

Yes, got mine yesterday but will be staying local if for no other reason than Malvern is a long way from Suffolk. 😳

My only experience of factory servicing was when I had Astons - to say they knew how to charge was an understatement! I was charged £12 labour for putting an umbrella in the boot - not kidding. I will stick with Bell & Colvill who know my car and go the extra mile for me. On that note, I was very sorry to hear that the founder of Bell & Colvill was killed a couple of days ago. Shot himself accidentally cleaning a loaded shotgun. http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surrey-news/witty-knowledgeable-always-enthusiastic-hugely-13905762

Yeah...crass crude clumsy... ? I used the factory this year for a full service. The car came out feeling like new...a full nut and bolt check over....which I know isn’t always the case with dealers. I dont think that they are stepping on the toes of the dealers as they have always serviced cars.....and their hourly charge is higher than most.

Well that was interesting. A bit hit and miss I would say. I wonder what the mailing parameters are?

No letter, but then my 4/4 is nearly 15 years old. It did go the the factory 3 years ago for a new hood to be fitted. This was booked through my local dealer. The factory did a good job at a sensible cost and I might add, considerably cheaper than the independent quotes that I had received. A free factory tour was included.

Lo and behold I received said letter this morning. If I lived nearer I would probably make use - I've always found Mark Baldwin to be very helpful A little more than a service I know, but I'd always hoped to return the 4/4 I purchased new in 1992 (having been on a 12 year waiting list) to the Factory for a rebuild when required. However on enquiring about this back in 2013 I was disappointed to be told they were unable to do this. The estimates I received from other sources prompted me to start afresh and buy a new one!
