Steering arm changes to the front uprights are interesting with the increased ride height. A better mudguard stay mount and no bump steer issues this time. The ride height change may not be a bad thing once you get used to the look, less chance of bending the rear bodywork on a kerb or speed hump. Not sure what it will do for the handling though, maybe not much change for normal driving?

I too doubt that road driving at 'normal' speeds will make much difference, but press on making progress and the lower riding car will handle better. I've now dropped mine down low enough to get the original-height track rod arms parallel with the road and this means only about 11-12cm clearance between the front of the body and the tarmac. It is a bit low for some bigger road humps, but it definitely handles better in my mind, when required. My setup of course has the Empire kit but WITHOUT their risers - I removed them and replaced the stock track rod ends after seeing one too many picture of a sheered Empire riser on here.... eek

My set up exactly, if you're steady over the road humps you will never hit them.

100mm clearance at the front and 110mm at the back with 75kgs of ballast.

Just to clarify, the only time the rear bodywork has hit has been coming out of a hotel car park that had a 4" kerb drop onto the main road when we were 2 up with luggage. So not a big problem but a bit of a shock when it happens. Given the choice I would rather stick with the lower ride height but I would rather see high riding M3W's than no M3W's in the future. Individual owners can always change things, as many of us have done. Hopefully this situation will continue.

Anyone for a hot rod effect? Raised rear, lowered front? I guess you’d lose a bit more stability though! wink

I have not seen any reference to conversion back to Euro 3 on any dealer's site except for Williams, which mentioned a 'Euro 3 appearance pack (includes below kits)' on its site at £ 1,674 incl VAT. The options/price list is not currently viewable, but I would guess that the pack may not revert Euro 4s completely: the emission restriction and reprogrammed ECU may be retained (so no problem about VED fraud), but lights, body height, mudguards etc would be turned back to Euro 3 (watch out for sharp-eyed Police, MOT testers or pre-owned buyers).

I asked the dealer who delivered my M3W about this. He said that he had heard nothing from MMC and would not accept a converted Euro 4 for second hand sale.

So this dealer would presumably sell you a new Euro 4 Morgan with the factory option Euro 3 kit and then later refuse to take it in PX?

Rather bizarre.

He told me he was awaiting delivery of a Euro 4, so someone must have ordered one, but he had not heard of any retro-conversion option and gave me the impression that he did not approve.
