Front seat repair

Finally dug the 4/4 out from under all the cushions and boxes in the garage and took it for a drive. First time in 3 months and it started first go. Love the sound of those carbies roaring and the crackle pop as you back of the gas.
Removed the front seats and found the reason the drivers seat was a bit wobbly. The webbing under both seats had broken and a bit of a dodgy repair with a occi strap on the drivers seat. Of to the upholsterers and hopefully back in a couple of weeks.

While seats were out I gave the inside and rear seats a clean. I don't mean a lick and polish here I mean a real JTL type clean. Washed and rinsed and then everything rubbed down with Beeswax. Tightened all the screws and checked the fuel fittings. cheers

Thanks for the complement Graeme , hope its not waxing the body . As we went with a load of people to the Classic car show etc for a few days by bus . On the way back some of my wax fell out under the seat unkown to us ( little room above ) . I contacted the company the moment we got home . along with sending 4 E-Mails . Not a reply to any the driver said as we reached our drop off spot and others . He had to clean the bus out as he was going to Scotland the next day . The huge P-OFF was a chap with us went up the bus with a plastic bucket and had a collection for the driver . FREE WAX AND PAID FOR IT TWICE . Never
again will I pop anything in again for a bus driver they get a wage .

I should have told you from y/day m/ing I get free dusters . Because the lane to the garage is a longish one and out of the way , I get every leaf that falls blowing along hence forever sweeping it up and filling our bins . I was doing it on Sunday m/ing before we went to a Christmas fair . While near the old church wall I spotted something covered with the odd leaf or two .
On pushing it with the broom it turned out to be two pair of lady's knickers . Yes I know its the frozen North up here but I never thought they would do what they all say "its cold enough for two pair." Ah well being as I have my draws! against the garage wall ( inside ) and these ones are metal ( think what you want ) but I know they are full of micro fibre dusters I won't need the knickers .

Over the years I have caught the odd naughty couple one night a couple was well at it against my garage door as we drove a tin top along the lane. I switched to main beam swmbo telling me off as I grin2 grabbed the garage door remote swmbo said you are not" she ought to know me better than that . I had already pressed it innocent . Up went the door I have heard of a knee tremble'r but not an arse tremble'r. I rofl as they both grabbed their clothes and ran . Oddly the mog is nicknamed
the mistress off swmbo. Anyone know where you can buy a red light bulb .

You are not far out with the seats and underneath . As at the w/end I was trying a new leather balm I was told of from the trimmer who did them when I went up for my ton cover . Spent all Sat a/noon feeding and polishing every little bit of leather . Its looking ok. The trimmer showed me a tiny bottle of liquid that has the smell of leather he uses it when the leather has lost its aroma . If June used that for perfume I would be constantly pushing prams . Must be something in me as my best mate and I as boys used to jump the bus and go to a saddlers in the town 15 miles away just to stand and watch him work and smell the leather . Suppose its better than smelling glue as they do these days. Also did the same at the local Black Smiths and that sticks as a friend is one often pop in , he does a good cup of coffee and fry up on his pot belly stove.

I prefer a leather balm and Danish oil mix aroma.
