There should indeed, Graham. I am somewhat embarrassed to report that I still haven't got round to fitting the new connectors, ever since I sourced them the Molex connectors on my Ctek charger have functioned perfectly...

I have mine connected / wired to battery behind the passenger seat, Williams did this for me when I purchased the car.

Is this the same connectors ?

That’s the same as mine Craig......the standard Ctek connectors.

Just been in the garage to check on mine (2 weeks on charge) & it’s now on the no7 green light, it used to stay on green 6.

I decided to adjust the ride height of the rear suspension before Caramulo and I managed to get the battery out through the hole in the panel behind the left hand seat. Not much space but it wasn't all that difficult.

Yes, that's the connector type Graham was referring to. They have a slight weak point in their design, which is that because they comprise a male/female socket pair, the female half can gradually widen with repeated connection/disconnection.

The female connector consists of a tube with a longitudinal slit, and any slight misalignment when the connection is made or broken can gradually open this slit up a bit, making the connection a bit dodgy.

Easily fixed either by giving the female connector a little tweak or by replacement, there are other connectors available which are designed for repeat connection/disconnection that avoid this potential problem by having two blades which rest against each other rather than a male/female arrangement.

So long as you are not careless about the standard connector, however, they should be good for many years of usage.

I have also had a problem with a Ctek connected to my Aero. The suppliers have told me to perform a "reset" procedure. Which is to disconnect the charger from the battery, but leave connected to the mains. Hold down the Mode button for 15/20 secs. This resets the units memory. That said, mine still randomly trips into fault at step 5 and then seems to discharge the battery if you don't catch it in time.

Well.....new battery fitted and car down to Williams today. Spaniel waiting for me as I arrived 🙄.
Wheels, longer studs and spacers fitted.....at long last! Just need to sort out what to replace the spare wheel carrier alloy plate with. The central hole in Minilites is wider than the Morgan alloys so the spare drops down in the well.
Just wondering if the one used for the wire wheels might fit.
