Got mine today as well. Just waiting for the Xmas card, and the follow-up "sorry, sent in error" card.

I've had neither and feel neglected.... or were all Aero owners excluded from the initial mailing?
It really is a spectacular own goal.

The error letter arrived in Costock today. Managing a channel to market is straightforward stuff - and conflict is easy to avoid as long as you apply common sense.
The trouble with common sense is that sometimes it becomes uncommon.

I received a letter in the post today saying that the original letter was sent in error and would I please maintain my relationship with my existing dealer
But it reminded me i was still a valued customer so all good!
No doubt the original letter ruffled a few feathers in the dealership world. I feel quite sorry for the guys at Malvern in a way over this as its obviously been embarrassing.

Letter #2 not yet received.
Lets not over egg this. An enthusiastic person at the factory had a great idea to fill the servicing bay. We don't want them sitting round drinking coffee do we................
It just wasn't thought through, or wasn't authorised at the right level.
Then somebody thought that a retraction letter was a great idea. I don't think that was thought through either. It might placate the dealers but has a greater impact on the owners.................................
Realistically, how many owners will give up dealer loyalty for a factory service? I think for most owners it's a simple binary choice of the factory or a dealer - which might not be the dealer nearest to the owner. It's wherever you're happy.

I bought my car dirctly from the factory but I was given to understand that Borghi would be "looked after". Certainly I have had great service from Borghi.
Having said that I wanted to have the factory do a fairly basic service, grease the king pins and do a general check up, the last time I had the car in the UK. Even though I tried to book well in advance I was told that the workshop was fully booked in those dates.

I don't think the factory should be given a kicking for apologising. Its a strong gesture that most organisations wouldn't contemplate.
