Just a run around the block but significant in that mog and me had been garage bound for more than a week while trying to solve a serious miss. Long story but to cut to the chase an overhauled distributor from Burton was installed and after some confusion about timing marks I finally had it running like a Mo Farah. Back in the garage with the miss gone missing the oil and filter was changed, coolant too (winters need anti-freeze), and then she was tucked under her covers for the winter. If you have the time, owner maintenance is a good thing.

Drove Nero....at long last....up to his new home in Cumbria today. Not the best day to travel as many of the roads were flooded north of Lancaster but managed a number of diversions to miss the worst. All tucked up now in a nice warm garage.
My poor nephew in the meantime spent last night sleeping in the car in the middle of a deeply flooded road. He drove into the flood late at night without seeing how deep it was. The car was rescued this morning and appears to be a write off.....which has rather shocked him!

as it was a sunny day, yesterday, went for a drive. Popped into the H Cafe (w of Benson). Then went onto the Aston Martin Heritage museum. Checked it out for a ThamesMOG trip next year. http://www.amht.org.uk/t/museumAlthought not a large museum, there is enough in there to keep petrolheads happy for an hour or two. Maybe a TM trip next year?

Fossils breakfast meet at Powderham Castle today. I set off at 08.15 on a cold sunny morning, albeit a bit chilly. The drive there is only just under 20 miles, but it was great: hood down, no sidescreens, half tonneau. 6 cars turned up, 3 of which were Morgans, one a brand new Connaught Green +4 - very nice. Usual great breakfast at the Orangery, then a nice drive home, still in sunshine. I gave my 4/4 a quick rinse off prior to putting it away. It has now started to rain, so the timing was perfect.

Strapped an old beehive to the luggage rack on Saturday to give to a friend in North Bovey (Dartmoor). Sunny around Exeter but down along the A30 a dark sky and snow showers over Whidden Down. Hood up warm up and back to a dehumidified garage. BBBrrrrrr.

Out today in the Roadster. 28 miles, to fill up the tank and check the performance of the new filler hose. All OK.
