Ironically I took 2 sets of Centa rubbers to Grindelwald for a couple of the guys there. When I picked them up from the factory I had a chat to Mark Evans who knew there were quite a few failures. He did say that Centa had changed the composition of the rubber and made then a few mm longer in an effort to extend the life. I guess time will tell if it works.

Would be nice to know what cars had what version of the Centa so we could help with the data! Meanwhile, those of us still under warranty maybe should ask dealers to check (prove with photos?) they are in good condition before the warranty expires...

Sure would be nice to know when/if this change made it into production so we could track the results. Ah, but to dream...

I doubt there's any record of when the new rubbers went into the production cars but I got the impression (at the end of Aug) that it was a fairly recent change.

Re getting the dealers to check - I doubt many of them know about the problem (Bell & Covill didn't) so the more we spread the word the better.

Good luck Chris
My car is still at Oakmere 5 weeks and counting. The rubbers I have been told were out of stock. Phoned Morgan Warranty last week to have a moan was told still waiting for stock but they managed to find 4 and we're sending to Oakmere. There is still the clutch problem to sort, Oakmere didn't want to strip engine out without rubbers but they have all clutch parts in stock so hope this is not going to be even longer wait. Morgans! Good job we luv um.

Cheers mate,

I'll see what MMC come up with early next week and if they are still out I'll give you a shout.

I assume you'll hand deliver them by M3W innocent

Commiserations Chris, at least it's the end of the driving season.

I hope you get it sorted soon though.

All these Centa problems are convincing me to stick with the MK2 Harley type compensator, which is still quiet and smooth if kept well greased.

Best of luck mate.

I'd be tempted to chat to Phil regarding his upgraded Centa inserts...
