The adjuster is tucked up by the seatbelt reel. It is accessible through the spare wheel aperture. It's a bit of a bugger......
The handle is Ford Ranger
Simon @ SiFab.co.uk And what if you do not have a spare wheel? Unscrew your cockpit rear panel and access it that way........hopefully!

There is a turnbuckle adjuster with a jam nut on the cable accessible through the back panel's access hole for the seat belt. You can get your figures through it to adjust the the cable, but it is tight. You must slacken off the jam nut, 11mm if I remember correctly, to then be able to turn the turnbuckle adjuster (it is faceted and is 8 or 9mm). I was able to get mine adjusted. I believe you can also get to the cable via the spare tire hole but I think the adjustment is more difficult or impossible that way. Hence I went from the inside.

Simon @ SiFab.co.uk So it is, a RHS one mounted upside down, I guess so it is easier to grip. This is it the right way up....  This is an original, with a metal handle, which I feel looks better than the plastic one.. But still stuck with the black base. Hmm..the wood "print" on the plastic and a chrome lever... Or the base plate covered with thin leather to match the car. Expensive, but I could be tempted...

Cheers, I presume you mean fingers rather than figures! Thanks for the info. I shall put my oversized and slightly arthritic digits to work on this when the weather clears.
