Richard. It shouldn’t leak with the hardtop, but there again it is a Morgan! Well Taffmog it certainly does seem to be a right of passage it's true .

From the Morgan press release on the GT and talking to a dealer the GT is a stock S5 with reworked body. At least that's what is being interpreted from information available.
So.......in essence.........a sheep in wolfs clothing !!!
I could have been tempted. BUT I never liked the S5 hard top. I just think it looks odd. The roof on the GT is likely to be a similar shape. If there is a wing I kinda feel it cheapens it.........except it doesn't!!! At £150k I think I'd rather have an Aero Max. Best wait to see the finished article in March.
Rob Good things come to those who wait but they've usually been left by those who got there first!

I didn't fancy any of the brochure colour options for the hard top - & what I got from the factory isn't quite what I ordered, but it's what the factory did & there seems to be no room for a discussion. anyway... it's a different colour from the rest of the car because I agree, it looks a little odd if you try to make it look like part of the car. Now that Williams have fettled the fit, it doesn't bounce or bang, or leak (so far). & I should retake the photos, because the doors now fit properly too. & now that it fits properly, I'm using the hardtop in this cold & damp weather. I wouldn't be surprised to find it's the default setup from November to the first bright day in the new year. It's most noticeable flaw is wind noise - I wouldn't be surprised to find myself relining the hardtop, with some added sound insulation.

I like the look of the lid on the car. In black it looks like old fashioned leather top. That leads me to wonder if covering it with black leather-cloth, as on a 1970s Ford Capri, would look good?
For sound insulation, 5mm dynamat under a nice coordinated fabric would look good and be a lot quieter.

Oh yes, had that on the Dolomite Sprint - jolly "The Professionals" mind you I never had sideburns or flares.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Your hard top shape looks a little different (and better) to the current version unless it is the angle of the photograph. I find the wind noise with the roof up to be much more than on earlier versions.

So the car is pre-owned? 😈 “........ Each of the eight cars – all already sold to existing Morgan customers......”

Yes i am also finding the description very confusing. They are all sold but we are selling one. The spec is also very weak for £150k in my opinion.
