Thanks for all your good wishes. Being a complete ludite and technophobe I have not yet found a way of transfering photos from windows to Yahoo mail.If that day ever comes I will post a couple of pics as someone has asked of me.
Has any one any views on replacing the rubber flexible brake lines with the ptfe / stainless braided type?, Ive seen HEL and Goodridge extolling their own virtues and wonder if they are as good as they say they are,and if they are an improvement, is one better than the other.
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.
Keith

I know John at HoE does them but I went for Goodridge- simply because they specialise in this area.
You need to be sure that you are talking to Goodridge themselves because there are a couple of suppliers who have domain addresses which are very similar( to the extent, I believe that there is or was legal action for 'passing off' involved)

The address and details you need are:

http://www.goodridge.net/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContactView_-1_64_10551

The way I did it for my car ( 2000 Zetec) was to talk to their sales dept who were very helpful. They needed a pattern to work from, so Ben Duncan then sent those hoses to them. The service was prettty efficient

it might be worth giving Ben or Mike a ring at Hartlebury?

Thanks for the info on both pictures and the hoses.
I was down at Mike Duncan's last week but it never entered my head to mention the hoses.
I have a catalogue from Melvyn Rutter which gives the brake hoses he supplies as being the same for all cars from July 1993 onwards. This would suggest that your previous efforts (along with Ben's ) would pay dividends for all of us as the pattern you sent should ensure the lines are available for all cars made during this period.

When the rear rubber hose burst on RTA (during an MoT) I bought a set from Uncle Melvyn. Made sense to change all three at the same time. Car back on the road 3 days later...

Cheers,
