Initially, paying £20.00 a month for banking services seems hard to swallow, but the "Big 4" demonstrated quite clearly yo me that their "so called free banking" model was flawed to the point of dishonesty.
The the Co-Op banks problems plus the failure of many building societies added further evidence: banking cannot be free and banking should't be mixed with financial services.
So, to be free of "marketing" and avaricious efforts to sell me services I don't need led me to believe that the price is worth paying. Personal banking, a slick internet banking site that makes transfers anywhere in the world quick and simple and "Graham" at the end of the phone for just £20.00 a month? I am happy to pay.

I think you are right Peter. I have long suspected that they are deliberately making the service only sufficient on free banking with the deliberate intention of driving you to the premium offering. It would make sense as a business.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
