It’s a couple of weeks before I am back in Phoenix with the Morgan but I will see how they work and let you know .
I do require good brakes as it’s a bit of a hot rod , 300HP , and I drive way too fast for my own good .
If they are not up to it then it’s a $20 experiment .

Well let Me know how You do. At least You have calipers that are up to the task. I did not, thus conversion to "WILWOOD". There was an issue with the Rear Brakes, but I forgot what the Problem was. I think "Go Mog" addresses this problem. Something about the "Self Adjuster" I think.

Also there is something called a "Residual Pressure Valve". I bought two of them. 1. 2 lbs for front disk brakes and 2. 10 lbs for the rear brakes. They are installed as near as the MC as can be done. This is for brake systems where the MC is lower than the wheel cylinders or on the same plane. Bleeding Morgan brakes is a bitch. I am hoping these items make the job easier and better. I have no experience with them. So any information is welcome.

Well I returned to Phoenix and the Morgan , sadly my e bay purchase didn’t work out so lesson learned there. After exhaustive searches by very helpfull staff at two local auto parts stores no pads could be found so before. I order from Morgan of New England I gave the badly soaked pad a wash with brake cleaner and put it back in , brakes work perfectly with no pulling under soft or hard braking at any speed up to about 80 mph .
Under emergency braking the fronts do still lock up prematurely but that may be due to the crappy pirrelli tires not having great grip
All in all we are back on track .

The Pirrelli's should be OK. How old and what model. There is a well known ex Morgan Racer in Northern California that uses Pirrelli's on His +8+. I borrowed it for a 4 day run. His Brakes and Pirrelli's saved Me more than once. Nothing as bad as having a 80+ year old body with a 14 year old brain.

The tires are P6000s probably near 10 years old , impossible to wear out so I think they must be plastic tires and not rubber . Emergency braking produces very loud squeal with lots of smoke and burning rubber smell , very F1 , but no marks on the tread . I should just ditch them but they are balanced and you know how hard it is to get someone to properly mount a wire wheel for ballancing .

When I looked at the date codes on my tyres I found that they were 20 years old. The tread was good because of low mileage but rubber hardens and cracks over years. I changed them immediately, for Dunlop Blue Sport. Old tyres are dangerous.
