This Autocar article interesting. No so much their forthcoming £30k mid engined coupe but more development of autonomous vehicles and hybrids using a Wankel developed for them and their plans for the future....from a family run business far smaller than Morgan.....it makes interesting reading.

If the yellow car in the first picture is their new mid engined car, it looks remarkably like the old GTM Libre, here: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=gtm+cars&client=firefox-b&dcr=0&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiQvtHj8JvYAhVFB8AKHVlBC1IQsAQILw&biw=1898&bih=922#imgrc=AllvuXMeR-tYFM:
A nice little car, but not very new, I think it has been around for 10 - 15 years, though still looks remarkably modern.
Westfield are also involved with other non car projects, so maybe a lesson for Morgan indeed.

I like the look of the Lego Caterham. I could almost be tempted.

Has to be the same body at least.

Nice looking little car with perhaps overtones of the Mini Gem or Mini Midas.

Always thought it was a good looking car. Hasn't dated, and worthwhile for a rebirth. I owned a Midas Bronze for some years in the 80s and 90s. Very fine car at the time. Many happy miles. A full bodied kit based on the well established Seven style chassis is a good way of expanding. Morgan did that the other way with the Aero Plus 8 by dropping a trad body onto the Aero chassis. Maybe a resurrected Plus4plus to come?

A stylish Plus 4 coupe would be a nice touch, either with a hint of SLR, or perhaps a sporting fastback estate body for practicality......

Lol.......my posting wasn’t so much about Westfield developing a coupe....more the fact that such a small company develops a engine, hybrids and autonomous vehicles. Something that perhaps Morgan could learn from. The amount of development testing compared to Morgans is particularly interesting!

Sadly, I think history shows that small companies who bite off more than they can chew almost always ends in tears. TVR going into making their own engines is a good case in point, and was almost certainly one of the main contributing factors in their demise.
