Collected my new car earlier this week:

Insignia Grand Sport 2.0cdti 170 Elite Nav auto

Standard kit includes:

8 speed auto (Aisin box)
Adaptive LED headlights (auto high beam can dip sector by sector which works really well)
Heated front and rear seats (heated front seats have an automatic function which is ace)
Lane keep assist
Auto-emergency braking
Leather seats and steering wheel
Navigation
Front and rear parking sensors
Rear USB ports
OnStar
Tinted rear windows
8" instrument display
Apple Car Play and Android Auto
Keyless entry and start

Optional kit on this car includes:

20" diamond cut alloys
Sports leather upgrade
Space-saver spare wheel
Winter pack (heated front screen, heated steering wheel)
Rear view camera
Heads-up display
Flex-Ride (adaptive dampers)
Metallic paint (Sovereign Silver)

I think this might be the best-specc'd car I've had so far, and are likely to have again for some time.

The silver paint wouldnt be my first choice, but it does have a rather nice 'molten metal' quality to it.

Very pleased so far. The auto-box really suits this car. smile

Very nice Joe. I'll be interested to see how you go on with the drivers seat...............
We've hired a few Insignias over the years and they always give me lower back pain. There's no indentifiable cause, but they have all been the same!!!

Really nice car, Joe, the model really evolved to the present premium status. I especially like the adaptive LED headlights, wonder how you will experience them to work.

I had issues in the first gen - but this new one has very different seats. The driving position is very different as well - you sit much lower in the car. In the old car you often felt you sat 'on' rather than 'in' the seat. I am much much more comfortable in this one. smile

It's my second Insignia with this particular system. In general the bright white lights make seeing in the dark a breeze. In terms of the adaptive bit, they go round corners nicely - you dont notice this after a while as it works so well.

Where the LED bit comes in handy is with the high beam. It only dips the sectors that need to be dipped. Therefore if you're on a country lane with oncoming traffic the full beam still works on the side of the road you are on. As the oncoming car comes towards you you can see it dip and un-dip specific sections so that the driver is never dazzled.

You can even use in on a motorway. It will shine a bright light onto the verge, and thus any roadsigns, and nothing else.

An amazing system.

Hi, we have just changed our Volvo XC60 to a new XC60 and it is a steep learning curve to find how everything works and yes the adaptive LED lights are very good but a bit strange at first.

I couldn't get used to the fact that, if the light shown on a reflective road sign (that reflected back to the car) the area of the sign would be dimmed, meaning you couldn't read the sign.

Golly Joe T. Now (seeing the photo of your new car) I put two and two together and realise that it is you who follows me (and @AlexRoy) on Twitter.
