Using the Aero like a car today - a quick trip to the Amazon locker, then to the supermarket for "essentials" - 5 bottles, all fizzy.

A quick trip to the jetwash... which went better than expected. I almost have a dry cabin- a little more fettling to keep the last few drips out, where the roof seal meets the header rail seal (curiously not quite at the header rail). & while the passenger door seals now work, the driver's need another look.

& then a 45 minute trip into the countryside to pick up some deeply tasty beef. & back via a wine merchant: yes, you can stand a case of wine in the S5's boot. wine

After which, I might as well not have bothered with the jetwash!

Will

Excellent...
Good Man, exercise the beast regularly and it will reward you with faultless service.
Hide it in the garage for weeks on end and it will sulk.

I've always maintained that the Plus 8 is as usable as a Mazda MX5, it is not a car for warm dry Sundays.

Sure, that is what the jet wash is for.
It is, in the end, a car and not a work of art.

Last night she who must be obeyed wanted to take a trip to the local shopping centre to pick up a last minute present. I offered to take her .... provided it was in the S1 ... with the roof down .... and with me wearing a Santa hat 🤓

Lovely run ... dry clear night and great sound. Who needs reindeer?!

160 miles Stevenage to South Yorkshire today via the A1 in the aero, did OK in the snow on the side roads when I set off.

Had a little run out yesterday before the snow came back. Glad I have a spare set of wheels as some of the potholes have got worse!

I haven't driven mine for a long while - I am beginning to wonder if I should do something in advance of starting it up (whenever that might be).

I get no pleasure from driving a sports car in appalling weather or through rivers of mud (the lane to my house), so it stays in the garage for much of the winter.
