The next little project which I’ll hopefully complete this morning is attempting to lower the number plate mount I think eventually I will swap over to a full bumper but in the meantime I just think the look of the front end can be improved by lowering the number plate You can see in this photo of the car taken by Willy’s before I bought it that the Mulfab radiator is a bit exposed underneath and everything sits quite high I’ve taken off the badges and disassembled the front end and late last night I hatched a plan and started making some strap brackets to lower the plate box by 34mm which doesn’t sound a lot but I think it will make a difference visually Anybody done similar ?

I had a play about with this issue but couldn't find a solution I liked. The bottom edge of the radiator is not very nice to look at, even though there is an "under radiator valence. Even with the new small number plates some sort of new, smaller bridging piece is needed.

Our grill extension hides the lower radiator very smartly - as does a valance of course.

Stewart, I fitted the Librands badge bar and front plate lowering kit to my plus 4. Much neater.. Have a look. https://www.librands.co.uk/products-view-82.htmlPs it also looks ok if you decide not to fit any badges, unlike some others. From memory I think it lowered the plate by approx 2 ins.

Stewart, The factory can supply the “lower grille” kit which I fitted to my car - I’ll post a photo when I return home later this week( I’m in the U.K. visiting daughter)it works very well protecting the bottom of the rad. Fitting requires a “badge” as no instructions come with the kit, which is also quite pricey! I made some stainless strap brackets which fit to the bottom of the bolts holding the main grille surround to the chassis.
Cheers!

I have a similar solution to the Librands unit and an undertray. I think it vastly improves the front look. My unit was made about ten years ago by my previous Roadsters owner who had a small engineering business. The Librand unit appears identical!! This previous owner also made some great S/S side exhausts which I have on my latest Roadster. I would post some pictures but cannot work out how to do it.

I'm getting RTCC to fit the lower grill as per Robbies post.
They had no idea it was available and had to use a picture of Robbies car to find out from the factory what the parts were.
Helen's comment was "Well, after much searching and asking of questions and chasing for responses, I have finally an answer from Morgan regarding the grill. Its amazing how they can have a product for sale that no one knows about.......Anyway MMC can supply - the cost is as follows: Lower grille £156.80, grille mesh £51.49, lower front cowl, £57.50. All plus VAT"
Robbies car looks great with it.

.... I just think the look of the front end can be improved by lowering the number plate I got rid of the number plate box which I think spoils the look of the grill and just dropped the plate below.

A very good idea and agree a much better look.
Do Librands do a kit for this as part of their Badge Bar?
The number plate smiling at the sky does irritate me!
