In real life the misting is condensation. Moisture in the air coming out onto a cool surface. The variations in where it shows in a Morgan could be due to the variations in where the draughts occur?
Even in a modern glass windowed car there is misting but controlled by the multi directional air blowing systems.

I think it's more complex, although I agree it must be linked in some way to temperature.

But remember that adjacent sidescreens react completely differently. One has no trace of misting whatsoever. Right next to it the sidescreen gets covered both sides with mist, which isn't wet to the feel, its smeary. Even with the hood up in the garage, the inside and outside mist over. The passenger side all mists over.

The Plus 4, which is three feet away gets no misting.

This post convinces me more than ever that silicone in some form has been applied to it at some time. It's disastrous on wooden furniture but in almost every spray polish. Awful on car paint but in so many car polishes. Never comes off, always smears with moisture, causes micro condensation bubbles. It's got to be that.
