Great pic Andy.

Car is looking great !

I lived on Meeting St Quorn when I was 21.

It was the coldest flat in the whole county - in a big old farmhouse. Is it still there?

It's probably still there Neil but most likely surrounded by modern 'infill' houses. It's a very desirable area and every square foot will be developed sooner or later!

Thanks Bunny I will try Google Maps. Or better still go on a nostalgic tour of the area.

I bought my first house in Loughborough in 1971 it cost £4250.

Central heating was £400 extra but I could not run to that.

I had to go for an interview with the Manager of the Loughborough BS.

Clearly I passed!

Had a run about in the sunshine today then a thorough hosing down to get rid of the salt. Getting the bodywork dry afterwards was a bit tricky - water kept freezing before I could wipe it off.

Before setting off from Auchenblae, lunchtime today;

4 degrees down to 0 here but brilliant sunshine, had a wonderful run through the Vale of Clwyd then over Moel Fammau and down the Alyn valley to the coast. A bit of frost still on the road under the rear wheel so had a few moments. It was dark when I arrived home so will have to wash the salt off tomorrow!

Calum that was brave it never got above zero with me though it was a sunny day. My road is still ice covered, may be I'd get it down the hill but not back again. It was even colder last night -7C but its getting warmer so maybe tomorrow. Last outing was 23rd Dec.

A chilling tale. I bet it was a bit draughty up the old kilt!

Its still there!

Now fully remodelled - and currently for sale.

It was good to look through the sale particulars - I could easily identify where the Flat was within the house. That was almost 50 years ago!
