I had them fitted but I must say there is something a little odd the angle of the lens is such that it points ever so slightly up whereas the angle of the headlight rim points slightly down. It is something that annoys my eye, if that makes sense.

I think the car does look better with them. To each their own smile

Wow, unless I missed something that's unanimous for keeping them.

Also I'd missed the fact that they go through to the wing stay and that would be a bugger to sort.

Sort the paint and keep them seems to be the answer and I'm sure I'll come to love them.

I think the wing lights are a key feature of the morgan look. Its comforting to see the edge of the lens lit up when driving at night.

I think I would be a bit nervous driving around narrow dark roads at night without wing lights particular if I had a very wide Morgan. Might be difficult for oncoming drivers to judge the width of the car.

The old wing mounted sidelight did not comply with current lighting regs. the diameter of the lens was too small IIRC hence they were discontinued but nothing to stop them being retro fitted.

I dont like them at all when/ if I am ever to order a new one i'll make sure it doesnt have them.
On my black 4/4 I removed them and had the wings welded up before respraying to get rid of them. I planned on doing the same to the 4 seater aswell.

A new Morgan will not have them unless you choose them as an option.

I‘m with you. The side lights do disturb the flowing lines of the wings..

You could probably adjust a bit of the tilt out if you were to pad under the rear of the unit slightly with an extra slice of rubber.

When the wing mounted sidelights were first removed the factory replaced them with a chrome (or stainless ?) disk and stud in order to secure the wing to the stay. Looked a bit odd. I guess it is all down to personal preference, I prefer to have the wing mounted sidelights, but find the modern LED (Defender ?) headlights not in keeping with the Morgan ethos
