Dear all.
I have owned a 4hp heated version of these since 2005 for my Harley's and now use it on my 4/4. As you can perhaps imagine, the nocks and crannies on the car are minimal compared to the Harley ! I have no connection with the importer, and have no hesitation it thoroughly recommending these blowers, although they are a little noisy, and I personally wear ear defenders !
Regards, John.

I have one that I won in a competition in MOGMAG. The hand held version. It certainly blows out a good volume of air and the interchangeable nozzles allow concentrated air streams to blast water out of nooks and crannies. It does a good job of getting water out from the headlamp surrounds, wing piping etc.. It has a good length of cable too.
I normally towel dry the car after a wash but don't always use the blaster. It does get used before lubricating the piping though. It is surprising how much water remains in there after drying.
I like it.
Maybe a hairdryer with the heating disabled would work but would have less less air volume ... the Blaster does chuck out a lot of air!

Do these devices filter the incoming air in any way to remove particles of grit that may be picked up?

That is the system I use. Though in Italy a car is a she wink

The Italians have a saying: "donne e motori, gioie e dolori", which could be translated, "women and cars, joy and sorrow", or perhaps "joy and pain!"

I always cover the engine as well

The problem with driving it to dry it off is that you pick up dust again which means you can’t do anything more like polishing or waxing as you will damage the paint

Washing and a thorough dry for me is usually just a preparation to waxing or it’s once a year claying, polishing and waxing
